There is no set time for the duration of therapy and it will very much depend on the individual and the nature of the problem, but the following factors will be considered:
- the length of time you have been dealing with the issue
- the degree of change you would like to achieve
- your level of confidence to manage change
Each of us is different and the number of sessions you may needed will differ from one person to another. However, as a guide Counselling may be between 6 and 12 sessions and Psychotherapy from 8 sessions and for as long as is needed.
No matter how many sessions you have, I believe in providing all clients with an engaging dialogue, to ensure we work towards fulfilling the greatest potential possible, creating a satisfying and successful outcome.
